ACUVUE® 2 by Johnson & Johnson Vision is a reusable Single Vision soft medical contact lens designed to correct Myopia and Hyperopia, with a 2-week replacement schedule when used for daily wear.
The lenses feature an Invisible Edge Design with thin edges designed to allow the eyelids to glide smoothly over the lens during blinking, helping provide a comfortable wearing experience. ACUVUE presents this feature as one of the key comfort benefits of ACUVUE® 2.
The lenses are made from etafilcon A Hydrogel with a high 58% water content, an oxygen transmissibility of Dk/t = 25.5 × 10⁻⁹ at -3.00D, and a reference center thickness of 0.084 mm at -3.00D.

ACUVUE® 2 offers a wide power range, extending to -12.00D for minus powers and +8.00D for plus powers, making it suitable for a broad range of myopia and hyperopia prescriptions.
The lenses also feature built-in Class 2 UV Blocking, blocking more than 99% of UVB and more than 88% of UVA rays.
Warning: UV-blocking contact lenses are not a substitute for UV-protective sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye or the surrounding area.
Because the lenses are reusable, they must be cleaned, disinfected, and stored in an appropriate contact lens solution after removal, while following the replacement schedule recommended by the eye care professional.

How to Use
This lens is:
Reusable / Bi-Weekly
For daily wear:
Replace the lens every two weeks.
The lenses should be removed after use, cleaned, disinfected, and stored in an appropriate contact lens solution before being worn again.
Official specifications also mention the possibility of 1 Week Extended Wear for certain users, but this should only be followed when specifically prescribed by an eye care professional. Sleeping in contact lenses should not be started without professional instructions.
How to Clean the Lenses
- Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before touching the lenses.
- Remove the lens and place it in the palm of your hand.
- Use a solution intended for soft contact lenses.
- Gently rub the lens according to the care solution instructions.
- Rinse the lens with fresh solution.
- Place the lens in a clean contact lens case.
- Fill the case with fresh disinfecting solution.
- Leave the lenses for the period specified by the care solution instructions.
- Discard used solution and never reuse it.
- Do not rinse or store contact lenses using tap water.

What Does a 6-Lens Pack Mean?
Each lens is designed for use for up to two weeks under the official daily-wear replacement schedule.
Because the prescription for the right eye may differ from the left eye, a separate pack with the appropriate power may be required for each eye according to the prescription.
