ACUVUE® OASYS for ASTIGMATISM – 6 Lenses
ACUVUE® OASYS for ASTIGMATISM with HYDRACLEAR® PLUS by Johnson & Johnson Vision is a reusable Single Vision Toric soft medical contact lens designed to correct astigmatism associated with myopia or hyperopia while providing clear and stable vision during everyday activities.
The lens features EYELID STABILIZED® DESIGN, a stabilization system that uses eyelid movement to help keep the lens properly positioned on the eye. The design incorporates four stabilization zones to help reduce lens rotation and maintain more stable vision, even during eye or head movement.
The lens also features HYDRACLEAR® PLUS Technology, which incorporates the moisturizing agent PVP – Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone into the lens material. Johnson & Johnson explains that the wetting agent mimics some properties of mucin in the tear film, helping support tear-film stability and maintain lens comfort.
The lenses are made from senofilcon A Silicone Hydrogel, with 38% water content, high oxygen transmissibility of Dk/t = 129 × 10⁻⁹, and a reference center thickness of 0.080 mm at -3.00D.
The lens has:
- Base Curve: 8.6 mm
- Diameter: 14.5 mm
The appropriate fit, SPH power, CYL power, and AXIS should be determined by an eye care professional.
The lenses cover a wide range of astigmatism prescriptions, with spherical powers ranging from Plano to -9.00D for minus powers and up to +6.00D for plus powers. Cylinder options extend to -2.75D, with axes from 10° to 180°.
The lenses also provide built-in Class 1 UV Blocking, blocking more than 99.9% of UVB and approximately 96.1% of UVA.
Warning: UV-blocking contact lenses are not a substitute for UV-protective sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye or the surrounding area.
Because the lenses are reusable, they must be cleaned, disinfected, and stored in an appropriate contact lens solution after use, while following the replacement schedule recommended by the eye care professional.
