ACUVUE® OASYS with HYDRACLEAR® PLUS – 6 Lenses
ACUVUE® OASYS with HYDRACLEAR® PLUS by Johnson & Johnson Vision is a reusable soft medical contact lens designed to correct Myopia and Hyperopia, providing Single Vision correction with a 2-week replacement schedule for daily wear.
The lenses feature HYDRACLEAR® PLUS Technology, which incorporates a moisturizing agent into the lens material. Johnson & Johnson explains that this agent mimics certain properties of the mucin layer in the tear film, helping support tear-film stability and maintain a feeling of moisture and comfort during wear.
The company also states that the lenses may help reduce dryness symptoms associated with prolonged use of screens and digital devices.
The lens is made from senofilcon A, a Silicone Hydrogel material with 38% water content. It provides high oxygen transmissibility of Dk/t = 147 × 10⁻⁹ at -3.00D, allowing a high level of oxygen to reach the cornea during wear.
Official specifications indicate approximately:
- 98% oxygen flux with the eye open
- 96% oxygen flux with the eye closed
ACUVUE OASYS lenses are available in two Base Curve options:
With a diameter of:
DIA 14.0 mm
These options provide different fitting choices depending on eye measurements and the assessment of an optometrist or ophthalmologist.
The reference center thickness is:
0.070 mm at -3.00D
The optical power range covers a wide variety of myopia and hyperopia prescriptions, extending to:
- -12.00D for minus powers
- +8.00D for plus powers
with different power increments depending on the prescription range.
The lenses also feature built-in Class 1 UV Blocking. Johnson & Johnson states that they block approximately:
Warning: UV-blocking contact lenses are not a substitute for UV-protective sunglasses or other protective eyewear because they do not completely cover the eye or the surrounding area.
Because the product is reusable, the lenses must be cleaned, rinsed, disinfected, and stored using an appropriate soft contact lens solution after each removal, following the instructions of the eye care professional and the lens-care solution manufacturer.
Fresh solution should always be used, and tap water should not be used to clean the lenses or lens case.
